We deploy our employees, technology, resources, partnerships and expertise to drive positive, lasting impact around the world.
We believe people deserve the support they need to get the most out of life. Whether that means financial inclusion, the right nutrition, or necessary medical care, we’re connecting organisations with donors, and those in need with assistance.
We’re committed to empowering people and cultivating a culture where everyone belongs. From action on gender and racial equality to making education possible for those in poverty, and much more.
We believe it’s our responsibility to take care of the planet, by both managing our own footprint and using our solutions and technologies to help others contribute to a sustainable future.
Mastercard has helped fund the BRIT School since 1999, keeping arts education free for rising talent like Young Athena
Mastercard proudly sponsors Arsenal Women, because football belongs to everyone.
Leah didn’t set out to break down barriers when she joined Arsenal’s youth programme at the age of 9. She just wanted to play. But as she rose through the ranks to becoming England’s captain, she found the beauty of the women’s game is in its inclusivity. Together with Leah, our dream is to inspire the next generation of homegrown talent to not just take up the beautiful game but become game changers themselves. That is why Mastercard are the first women’s-only sponsor of Arsenal Women Football Club. It’s a partnership founded on a passion for sports, and a continued quest to level the playing field for women everywhere.
Young Athena was just 11 when she recorded her first song
in the studio her dad created for her at home.
That same dedication later saw her travelling from Essex to
Croydon to attend The BRIT School – the renowned
creative arts school which has been free to attend for over
25 years, thanks in part to Mastercard’s sponsorship of The
BRIT Awards.
But she didn’t stop there. Young Athena also took part in
Mastercard’s Artist Accelerator programme, helping
independent artists build their fanbase with the power of
Web3, ensuring her music reaches as many people as
possible.
We feel incredibly lucky to have been one small part of kick-
starting Young Athena’s career. And as she soars to new
heights, we’ll continue to give more young talent the
platform they deserve.
